MMMMM!! GOOD PIZZA. We love to get pizza and wings from this little store/deli. The 24 cut is thick and flavorful with fantastic sauce and lots of cheese. This past trip we also order a Hawaiian pizza but I guess I don't like bacon on my pizza. It was not as thin or crispy as a NY style pizza but it still had good sauce and cheese. The wings are really crispy with just the right amount of heat. I will never understand the point of ordering food that hurts when you eat it, so medium is how we order them. It is usually busy so expect a least 35-40 minutes for an order on the weekend, but a little planning and you are all set.
If you are in the area, don't miss stopping in at this wonderful little store. Order a warm meal, pizza or even a sub and you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to check the counter for a daily crockpot surprise. Although everything is great, you will be especially lucky if you stop in when the pot is full of chili! It's delicious. After your meal grab some specialized ice cream. I think it is homemade and it's wonderful! They also carry a great assortment of "convenience store" items. Although the food and store is updated and current, stepping into Marpe's is like stepping back in time. Back to a time when people gathered at a small town general store, when everyone knew everyone, and when people treated each other as people. The best thing about Marpe's by far are the people who work there. Friendly, helpful, caring, they always make the time to ask how you are doing. Marpe's is a great community restaurant and not to be missed if you are driving through! Thanks Marpe's!
